Hey there, Camila Mozzini-Alister. I'm a Writer, Social Researcher and
Social Media Educator based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
In this page, I present my services as a social media educator & speaker, academic as well as the books, articles and artistic projects developed around body, digital sociology, philosophy of technology, psychology, social media, meditation, and desire for omnipresence.
My background is a double PhD in Communication (UERJ-Brazil) and Arts: Production and Investigation (UPV-Spain), with a Research Master’s in Social & Institutional Psychology (UFRGS-Brazil) and a Bachelor (Honours) in Journalism (UFRGS-Brazil). I work as a Sociology Lecturer and Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Australia. I've also worked as an Art Educator at both Iberê Camargo and the Mercosul Biennial Foundations, and a Social Educator at La Salle Foundation.
As an author, I've published the books Does Social Media Have Limits? Bodies of Light and the Desire for Omnipresence (2021), Phenomenologies of Grace: The Body, Embodiment, and Transformative Futures (2020) with Dr. Marcus Bussey, and Impressions of a connected body:
how advertising is inciting us to digital connection (2019).
My goal as a social media educator is to address the core of our current addiction to social media and help society to consciously shape our hegemonic technologies as a tool for self-knowledge in four different levels: personal, social, environmental & humanitarian, as well as spiritual.
